Bayside Sports Academy

We were visiting for a few weeks from Ontario Canada and Brooke was amazing to communicate with. They let my daughter train with them and Coach Savanah was absolutely awesome with Jada! And the kids there were so welcoming and positive even though she was a newcomer... Amazing and unexpected experience for Jada she Loved it!! She learned a ton too !!! Hope to be back next year!!!

My daughter came off the mat last week and was pale, had blue lips and wasn’t even sweating. The ac was completely off and there were no fans on the side of the gym she was on. My daughter complained about how hot she was and she didn’t feel well. I believe she was suffering from heat exhaustion. I called to voice my concern and the front desk lady was rude and challenged me asking me why I didn’t come to them when it was happening. I let her know it was because my priority was getting my daughter out of that situation and feeling better. The front desk lady then proceeded to tell me she can’t do anything about it and to reach out to the owner. After hanging up the phone I emailed the owner immediately and let her know my concern and frustration with what happened. It’s been a week and I still haven’t heard back. I cannot in good faith continue to support someone who handles situations like this especially when it comes to kids and their safety. Be aware of this facility it has been known to be a very hot facility due to ac issues. I will say my daughters loved their coaches and did enjoy their time with the coaches they got to interact with.

We were in town for a week from out of state right before a big competition, and this gym allowed my daughter to practice with their team and we had the BEST experience. I was sad to leave! The coaches were incredible and treated my girl just like she was one of their gymnasts, and the girls on the team cheered her on just as they would their own team. My daughter felt supported and encouraged and absolutely loved the gym, coaches, and gymnasts here at Bayside. This is a gym that truly cares about kids and that’s refreshing to see!

Bayside Gymnastics is the best! Our two children- ages 3.5 and 2- do a class there once a week and it’s the most looked forward to day of the week! Their coaches (Cece and Milenys) are SO patient and good with them and our children are always so excited to see them and spend time with them. If you’re looking for a place for your young children to start out with learning gymnastics I would definitely recommend Bayside.

Bayside Gymnastics is by far one of the healthiest, happiest gym atmospheres I've EVER been in. The coaches are knowledgeable, caring, and respectful to each athlete they interact with. You can tell they truly want what's best for each individual. I've been to a lot of gymnastics facilities in my lifetime and of all of them, this one is at the top of the list of locations that I would recommend. This place definitely deserves 5+ stars!

I recently enrolled my child in gymnastics classes at Bayside Gymnastics, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. The facility is clean, well-maintained, and equipped with top-notch apparatus. The instructors are incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and encouraging, which has made learning gymnastics a fun and rewarding experience for my child.

Nice teachers, but too many kids in one space, so many children in each group; feels a like a big cattle call. If private lessons are offered, they need to be advertised. If not, maybe add them. But during regular business hours, the gym is too busy, too noisy, too crowded.

I am disappointed with the unprofessional manner in which my daughter was treated by the gymnastics studio. Despite recently updating my card on file and making payments for new competitions, training fees, and leotards, there was no mention of any outstanding balance on the account. After receiving an email from the studio regarding the matter, I promptly contacted them to clarify that we were up to date with our payments. They assured me that if the payment had indeed been made, I could simply bring proof from my bank account. Later in the day, around 4:30 PM, the studio called me while my daughter was in class. I informed them that I would take care of the payment as soon as I finished work and picked her up from class. However, to my surprise, when I arrived to pay, I found that my daughter had been pulled out of class and made to sit on a piece of cardboard on the floor. Furthermore, during this time, her foot was run over by a receptionist as she glided in her chair, causing her pain and distress. I had been unaware that my daughter had been excluded from class, as I assumed she was still participating when I went to pay. It was upsetting to learn that she had been made to sit out for a whole hour especially when the arrearage was pertaining to some months that she didnt even attend because we were on mission trips. The resulting embarrassment and emotional harm caused to a seven-year-old is deeply concerning. Additionally, I found the unprofessional and defensive manner in which the studio reacted to be disrespectful and disappointing, especially in the face of a situation requiring empathy. As a result of these experiences, I decided to discontinue using their autopay system and pay in cash to clear any remaining balance. Right before handing over the cash, I evaluated the situation with my husband and told them we will not be coming back and will not be paying anything. I lost thousands of dollars in prepaid leotards and comp fees but I have concluded that this studio exhibits rude and possibly discriminatory behavior and does not warrant further financial support. Remember the name Naihlía (Nani) Jiréh, becasue she will make it to the olympics and this company will get 0 credit for it. To other parents considering this gymnastics studio, I strongly advise seeking alternative options to protect your child's mental well-being.
