Coach Judith is witty, knowledgeable, and a patient instructor. We took this fencing class with the mindset of trying something new this year and Front Range Fencing was exactly what we needed. We did the introductory class. They also offer team-building sessions which may be fun to try.

My son and I have been fencing with Front Range for the past year and a half. All the coaches are very patient and extremely knowledgeable in all aspects of the sport. It is a very friendly group, competitive but at the same time a relaxed and nurturing environment. We look forward to going every week!

I've been fencing on and off for roughly 20 years and have seen a lot of clubs and met a many coaches in that time. I'm an adult fencer and have been fencing with FRFC for about six months. All of the FRFC Coaches are polite, respectful and great to work with. This is a great environment for adults, teenagers and children.

I've seen other parents make complains about health in the other reviews. It's a tough sport to learn and stick with. My hope is that parents can be understanding when it comes to the intersection of health and this sport; such as a Autistic child, Asthma, injuries... The club really tries to put the students first, make accommodations, but safety in this sport is the ultimate first priority. Please please please communicate with the coaches about all of it. Coaches really try their best to listen, accommodate, educate, and be respectful of everyone. This has been my personal experience.

My only gripe is space. I think its wonderful that the club is at a local school, but it's in a cramped gym. (I supposed it's a good thing because there are lots of members!) However, it's not priced like a club located inside a local school gym. The dues I pay are equivalent to what I've paid to go to a fully equipped Salle with tons of room. I hope this club ends up in its own fully equipped space some day. That would be exciting! However, 100%, the fact that everyone is great outweighs this one issue for me.

I have been fencing in the Adult Electric Epee Section of FRFC for a little over a year. The coaches are great! They are interested in improving the students' ability and responsive to student needs. Late last year the Section, went from an hour a week class to 1 1/2 hours a week. This was definitely needed. One hour to set up, practice and cool down was insufficient to improve the skills of the students. My only recommendation for improvement is to regularly dedicate some or all of the additional 1/2 hour to drills. While everyone enjoys open bouting and probably dislikes drills, teaching memory during drills is important to improve fencing techniques. On another note, I took the summer camp last June which was 20 hours of coaching. I feel that this attendance really improved my fencing skills.

Highly recommend. My 14 year old son just went through the beginner classes and loved it. The instructor teaches the basics really well and does it in a kind and fun way. My son is really excited to start the intermediate classes this week.

Coach Kathryn carefully and thoughtfully guided our children, Neil (10) and Isabel (8) through four months of beginner classes. Lots of fun exercises and mini-competitions. The kids are now prepared to join the intermediate class and are really excited for what is ahead.

My eight year old is completing his first round of lessons and we will be back. He really enjoys the structure and repetition of the practices. Coach is stern and the kids respect that. I highly recommend lessons.
